Jennie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over ten years of experience in the mental health field. Jennie holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has worked with all ages in various settings including community mental health, college counseling, and child welfare.   Jennie strongly feels that the therapeutic process shoud be client driven, and offers a non-judgmental and safe atmosphere to help gain a better understanding of themselves. Jennie offers a integrative, person-centered approach, using relational, experiential, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused and humanisitic techniques. Jennie has training in relational and developmental trauma, and is currently in the process of becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Jennie currently sees adolescents and adults aged 11 and above experiencing conerns related to: anxiety, depression, stress management, PTSD/trauma/unresolved trauma, identity issues, life changes and transition, grief and loss, emotional regulation, women’s issues and family and relationship concerns. In addition to being a team member at RISE Counseling, Jennie is the director of an affiliate child welfare agency, and is also a Behavioral Health Clinic volunteer at CVIM where she sees clients and also serves a member of their behavioral heath committee. Jennie is able to provide supervision to individuals working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
