Tessa Bills LSW

Tessa has had experience working in many different social work settings. While completing her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies she was an intern within the realm of Adoption/Foster Care, Family Reunification and Family Preservation Services. As she furthered her education completing a Masters degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work her first year field placement was with resettling refugees. She then moved on to her second year field placement within a partial hospitalization program with children from K-12 but focused mainly on middle school aged children and was the therapist for students within that classroom. After graduating with her Masters in Social Work Tessa began doing Behavioral Specialist Consulting and Mobile Therapy. She also worked simultaneously at a residential facility for older adults with sever mental health issues. She moved back to the State College area in 2012 continuing to provide Behavioral Specialist Consultation and Mobile Therapy. In February 2014 after becoming a Licensed Social Worker several months prior she began as an outpatient therapist at Beck Psychotherapy LLC. Tessa enjoyed her experiences while working at Beck Psychotherapy for five years and is now the owner of RISE Counseling Inc as it has transitioned from Beck. Tessa has experience working with couples counseling, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, children, adolescents with behavioral diagnoses and families. She is thrilled to be pursuing her passion of working with individuals and guiding them to improving their overall well-being.
